This DVD introduce 3 films in the Seeing Is Believing Series :
Film 1 : Pray, Hope and Don't Worry
For 50 years Padre Pio bore the wounds of Chirist's Passion. He died in 1968 in a Franciscan Monastery in Southern Italy. Mary thousands visited him every year, when he was alive, to be cured of their bodily and spiritual ills and even more visit his tomb today. This film includes personal testimonies of healing, bilocation, powers of conversion and prophecy, and Pope John Paul II's visit to San Giovanni Rotondo.
Film 2 : Padre Pio's Way of the Cross
In this film, Father Alessio invites you to come to San Giovanni and follow the Way of the Cross in the footsteps of Padre Pio. The director of the English office, Father Alessio, looked after Padre Pio constantly for six years towards the end of his life. We now follow him on a journey to Calvary to pray the Stations of the Cross, where the first stone was blessed by Padre Pio on the day before he died in 1968. This beautiful devotion completes a pilgrimage to San Giovanni, offering a quiet place for meditative prayer, in the "City on the Mountain" prophesied by Padre Pio.
Film3 : The Canonisation of Padio Pio
The Canonisation ceremony in Rome, presided over by Pope John Paul II, is attended by thousands of his devotees massed in St. Peter's Square, and provides a thrilling background to the story of the life of Padre Pio. This charismatic monk bore the wounds of Christ's crucifixion for more than 50 years.
Now, St. Pio of Pietrelcina, this film tells of the miricles that led to his canonisation, and talks to the people who knew him well, particularly Fr. Alessio who looked after him in his final illness. |
